Seriously?
I sincerely love it when I find myself driving to work or school and I happen to look over in the other lane of traffic and see someone reading. Yes, reading! Are you flipping serious? It's bad enough so many people text and drive, but now people are finishing up their weekend reading while driving a motor vehicle. It makes me pretty nervous, especially when I see someone taking a drink of coffee with one hand, holding a newspaper with the other, and using thier knees to drive. And from the looks of it these are well dressed, possibly highly educated adults that appear to have the same mind-set as most teenagers, the "It won't happen to me, I'm invincible" attitude. I have been in several "almost" accidents from people reading and attempting to drive at the same time. I guess they got to the exciting part of their book and felt the need to swerve in the lane in which they were driving. Unfortunately, I don't think there is much I can do about it, until I end up swerving into oncoming traffic because some idiot decided to bring Stephen King or The New York Times along for their commute.
